Answers to the questions people ask before they upload.
No. Without an account you can upload files of up to 5 GB each, and they stay online for 7 days after their last download. Copy your links before you close the uploader: without an account there is no list of your files to come back to.
A free account raises the limit to 20 GB per file, keeps files for 30 days after their last download, and adds folders, download statistics and import from a URL.
Every download restarts the clock:
Only downloads count; views of the download page don't. Signed-in users see each file's expiry date in My files.
Uploading, sharing and downloading are free. Premium removes the ads and the "verify you are human" check on downloads, removes the file size limit, keeps files until you delete them, and includes uploads through the API.
Premium isn't sold. We grant it to partner websites with at least 200,000 visits a month; see the Free Premium Offer page.
Only people you give the link to. Files and folders are not listed or searchable on AkiraBox. You can add a password to a file or folder, and with an account you can make a file private so only you can open it.
Child sexual abuse material, animal abuse, terrorist content, malware, and movies, TV shows or sports broadcasts you don't have the rights to share. Accounts that upload these are banned.

Open the link, tick the "Verify you are human" box when it appears, then press Download. Only that button gets the real file: ignore ads or pop-ups that offer another download. For very large files, a download manager can resume the transfer if your connection drops.
